Balancing Act (2017)

This piece celebrates certain anniversaries in my life. A fine silver raised cup, representing 16 years of singleness, balances precariously on an enameled copper dish, commemorating 22 years of marriage. All of this is supported by wobbly anticlastic brass legs reminding me that my life is a constant balancing act and that each of my decisions and life choices grow from and rest upon all that has come before.
